La cerimonia degli MTV Movie & TV Awards 2021 ha incoronato i migliori film, serie, show tv e protagonisti in una leggendaria serata condotta dalla comica Leslie Jones dal Palladium di Los Angeles. Prima di svelarti i vincitori, ti ricordiamo che la festa continua con gli MTV Movie & TV Awards 2021 Unscripted che vanno in onda in diretta e in lingua originale alle 3.00 della notte tra lunedì 17 e martedì 18 maggio.
WandaVision è stata la grande vincitrice della serata, con ben quattro awards in totale per la serie e per le protagoniste Elizabeth Olsen e Kathryn Hahn.
Il premio come Miglior Film è stato dato a To All the Boys: Always and Forever, mentre quello per la Miglior Performance in un Film è stato assegnato postumo al compianto Chadwick Boseman per Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
Il Best Hero è andato a Anthony Mackie per The Falcon and the Winter Soldier e Breakthrough Performance a Regé-Jean Page per Bridgerton.
Leslie Jones non solo ha condotto gli #MTVAwards ma ha anche trionfato nella categoria Best Comedic Performance per Il Principe Cerca Figlio.
Durante la serata sono state onorate due fantastiche star: Scarlett Johansson ha ricevuto il Generation Award che celebra gli attori più amati, il cui contributo sia nel cinema che in televisione li ha resi icone di riferimento del settore. Sacha Baron Cohen ha invece portato a casa il Comedic Genius Award per il suo talento per la risata.
